Oh how time flies....
I worked on my paper, sent it to you. It's ACP day.

I edited my midterm paper and worked on my Thesis presentation.

Writing

I began my paper based on my outline. I checked the guidelines for the paper as well.

Today is an A-Day, to my surprise

I found information to add to my paper about personal accounts of slaves that will give life to my paper. Helpful links provided stories of slaves and their experiences. I outlined my paper, with transitions and points I intend to make and support. I also formulated a thesis for my paper. Checking my email, I looked at college requirements and other documents I need to submit.

It's A Start...

I began my research paper and perused some of the links you posted on Edmodo. I also looked up more information to use in my paper. I began by talking about the triangular trade and how it began the process of Africans becoming African Americans.

THESIS

TODAY, I continued my reading of Malcolm X's autobiography. His story provides insight to the struggle of black men in the 1930s-1960s. Now, I am reading about his adventures in his twenties. He lives in Harlem, but moves around a lot to avoid trouble and find work. Several of my findings in this book provides evidence to support my thesis project.

I worked on a scholarship application- the Ronald McDonald's one. Then I was reading a book for my thesis- on Malcolm X.

editting!

I edited my second essay for UT. The only thing I have left to do is finish the scholarship section of this application. Also, my UH application is ready, except for the payment.

I completed, to the best of my abilities, the application for UT at Austin and UH. they are almost ready for submission. I also got my AP money.

Do Tha 1-4

Great Song! Lol just kidding.
But today, I checked admissions for all of my current colleges. I considered other colleges to apply to (aiming higher). And I assigned schools to send my SAT and/or ACT scores.

Almost Finished

I am almost finished with my applications on ApplyTexas. I looked at the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, and others to apply for. And, I tried to look at the FAFSA application.

Scores & Transcripts

Today, I ordered transcripts, filled out my graduation packet information, and submitted a query to the ACT test center. I also looked into scholarships at UH and the requirements for UT Austin.

More Work

I wrote more of my UT essay. I sent Mr. Almaguer a teacher recommendation form for me for Howard. I also continued filling out the Ronald McDonald's scholarship. I submitted my application to Prairie View A&M.

Thesis Revisited

I worked on the annotated bibliography and sent it to myself. I also sent my essays for Spelman and UT to myself to work on them.

I BEGAN WRITING MY ESSAY FOR UT AUSTIN. I STARTED APPLYING FOR THE MCDONALD'S SCHOLARSHIP. I RESEARCHED THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION. I SAVED THE DATE FOR ACT & SAT DEADLINES.

ESSAYS

I worked on and planned an essay for a scholarship. I also helped edit a friend's college essay.

October 23

I read about the annotated bibliography assignment for thesis and saved the due date. I completed the St. Johns University application, sans submission (I'm nervous). I looked at the application for the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship.

October 21 Missed Post

I filled out the application for St. John's University, and looked into scholarships that I could apply for. I also looked into Babson College and thought about applying.

Oct. 16 Missed Deadline

I added applications to my apply texas account, worked on an essay for Spelman, and looked into admission requirements to the schools where I am applying.

College
I examined my ACT scores and checked the requirements for the admissions to my choice colleges. I tried to check my application status for Baylor, but I forgot my login(oops). I also checked my email, where I found scholarships that I qualify for and plan to apply.

Prairie A&M University/ Texas Tech Applications + Scholarships (!!!)

I looked at potential scholarships that I could apply for, but none of them really helped. The NAACP scholarships need to be investigated.
I also edited my application for Prairie View A&M; it is ready for submission but I have not submitted it yet. I worked on my application to Texas Tech. I started one of the essays that I must submit - eventually. I answered questions for a scholarship for Texas Tech.

I emailed a potential mentor for the field I want to enter and the college I wish to go to. I also submitted an application to Baylor University and began my application to St. John's University. I helped correct a peer's essay for Common App.

Application Process :(

I looked into the Prairie View A&M University. I nearly finished my application on ApplyTexas.org. I also found out about a scholarship for entering the School of Engineering at Prairie View.

Helpful Thesis Information

I researched my thesis some. I found books that Dr. Cornel West has written. One book, called Race Matters, addresses my topic more than his other books. I plan to read it. I also listened to a sample audio version of this book. I sampled his hypotheses and thoughts about African Americans today. For example, he says that whites must not look at blacks as if blacks are the problem, but look at it as a flaw in the American system. Error lies in the corrupt American system and not with black people being the problem. This idea piqued my interest and I am looking forward to investigating his other ideas.

ACT Practice

I studied for the ACT today because I take it tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Success and Productivity

I wrote and edited my college common app essay. I helped proofread a friend's college essay. I also looked at an e-mail I got about a Siemens Competition for advanced placement science, math, and English. Does that count as scholarship info? They just sent me an email. But I also looked at the Baylor University website and debated if I wanted to apply.

Today, I emailed the cofounder of Rae's Hope, Inc. where I will be volunteering tonight. I also worked on my thesis. I registered for an information session for Purdue University.

Thesis

I started researching my thesis, but I found a very small amount of useful information. Thus, I switched gears to continue working on my applications. I looked at the essay topics required for Apply Texas and continued working on my Common Application essay.

I looked through my email for scholarship offers and worked on my common app essay. 

Last class, I called about an opportunity to mentor young girls at an institution called Rae's Hope, Inc. I also searched college statistics, peer reviewed a friends essays for college, and worked on my Common App essay.

I started writing my common app essay, and finished the common application except for the writing. I helped my friend review her essay for common app. I started applying to Howard University and Spellman College via Common App.

I looked at an outside scholarship. I also looked into signing up for Education is Freedom. I started my application on ApplyTexas.org for Texas Tech.

Day 1

Today, I researched colleges. I added colleges to my college list on Common App. I looked at colleges I wished to apply, searching their webpages. I also answered the ACT Question of the Day.
